Honest Conclusion
„For me, Dai Pai is a genuinely exciting addition to Salzburg's Old Town. Asian street food, sharing and a laid-back atmosphere — right opposite the Festival Hall. What I particularly like is that you don't have to follow the classic starter-then-main-course routine here. Instead, order several dishes, place them in the middle of the table and share your way through them. The location fits the concept perfectly for me, too: modern, urban and pleasantly uncomplicated. Ideal for a relaxed lunch or an evening with friends where you simply sample your way across the menu."

About DAI PAI
In the middle of Salzburg's Old Town and directly opposite the Festival Hall, Dai Pai brings Asian street food to Hofstallgasse. The concept is casual and sociable: a variety of Asian-inspired dishes arrive at the table, perfect to enjoy on your own or — even better — to order together and share. That way you can sample your way through different flavours and dishes instead of being limited to a single main course. Visually, Dai Pai takes a different path from the classic Asian restaurant, too: a modern street-market look, an open atmosphere and a central location give the place a young, urban character. The location itself is part of what makes it exciting: just a few steps from Getreidegasse, the Festival Hall and the Great Festival Hall, it's an easy-going address for lunch, a quick snack between sightseeing or a relaxed evening with friends.

🍽️ My Favourite Dish
Fish & Chips
"My personal favourite at Dai Pai: Fish & Chips with catfish. Instead of the classic cod, this one uses catfish — nicely crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. For me, it's a really exciting Asian take on the British classic, and exactly the kind of dish that fits Dai Pai's casual street-food concept. A must-try if you like fish & chips!"
