Conclusion by Essen in Salzburg

Honest Conclusion

„I love concepts that don't just follow trends but create something of their own. That's exactly what SeeSushi does. The idea of using native fish from our lakes for sushi may sound unusual at first, but it makes perfect sense in terms of flavour. For me, SeeSushi is proof that regionality and creativity go together perfectly. If you think you've already tried sushi in every variation, you should definitely drop by."

About SeeSushi at Lake Wolfgang

SeeSushi at the Bergrose Hideaway is one of those concepts that makes you wonder, after the first bite, why nobody thought of it sooner. Instead of salmon and tuna from around the world, native fish like char, whitefish or lake trout from our lakes end up on the sushi rice. This makes the dishes not only more sustainable but gives them a character all of their own. Behind the concept is Dominik Edlinger, who gathered international experience and created something truly original. Here, Japanese cuisine is not copied but reimagined with regional ingredients. The menu features classic nigiri and maki as well as creative signature rolls and seasonal specials. What began as a bold idea at Lake Wolfgang has since evolved far beyond the region. In addition to the Strobl location, SeeSushi can now also be found in Vienna and at Lake Achen in Tyrol. Yet the concept has stayed true to its roots: the finest regional ingredients, great attention to detail and the courage to do things differently. If you love sushi, you'll discover new worlds of flavour here. And even if you haven't been a big sushi fan so far, you should still give SeeSushi a chance – because here it's not Japanese tradition alone that takes centre stage, but above all great taste.

🍽️ My Favourite Dish

Mixed SeeSushi Platter

"If you can't decide, the Mixed SeeSushi Platter is the perfect choice. You get an ideal cross-section of everything that defines SeeSushi: crispy Tyrolean alpine prawn in panko with truffle-miso mayo, flavoursome crispy spicy char tartare, selected maki of the chef's choice, flame-grilled catfish nigiri with teriyaki and fine sashimi from rainbow trout. For me, the best way to experience the diversity and creativity of SeeSushi – and a dish that's wonderful to share and enjoy together 🍣✨"
