It's not just about selling as many scoops of ice cream as possible – there's a lot of work, experience and, above all, passion behind every flavour. I find it particularly exciting that Celal is always trying new things while still keeping the classics front and centre. And then there's the location right at Platzl: grab a cone and stroll through Salzburg's Old Town – it really doesn't get much better than that. For me, ALPZ is one of the best addresses for truly excellent gelato in Salzburg."

About ALPZ Gelato & Cafe Platzl
The story of ALPZ Gelato began in 2010 in Zell am See. Behind ALPZ are Celal Karaarslan and his wife Kirsten, who built the company together with a passion for truly great gelato. Celal develops the gelato recipes himself and is always experimenting with new flavours and creations. The focus is on natural ingredients and high-quality raw materials. The ice cream is freshly produced in their own facility – from classic varieties to more unusual creations. The genuine craftsmanship behind ALPZ is also reflected in the numerous national and international awards Celal has won with his gelato creations. Since 2020, ALPZ has also been located directly at Platzl in Salzburg's Old Town. For me, it's the combination of a family business, artisanal production and a love of experimentation that makes ALPZ truly special.
