Instead of classic inn cooking, you get international dishes with Latin American and Middle Eastern influences. I particularly love the sharing concept: order several dishes, put everything in the middle and try them all together. Add the relaxed atmosphere of the Steinerwirt and the mountains right on the doorstep. For me it's one of those places where food, people and atmosphere belong together — perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or just the two of you."

About ALMA Lofer
Right in the middle of Lofer, in the historic Steinerwirt, you'll find ALMA — a restaurant that doesn't at all fit the classic image of an inn in the Salzburg mountains. Head chef Daniel Valovis, originally from Colombia, brings Latin American influences together with flavours from the Middle East. The result is international, creative cuisine that aims above all to be one thing: uncomplicated, emotional and seriously good. At dinner the motto is #sharingiscaring. The best approach is to order several different dishes, place everything in the middle and share your way through the menu together. That's exactly what makes an evening at ALMA special for me — it's not just about the food, it's about sharing the experience. It's also worth a visit during the day: in the morning the STOANA Breakfast Club awaits, at lunchtime there's a light-lunch menu, and in the evening ALMA becomes the meeting point for sharing food and drinks. Every Friday there's also LA FIESTA STOANA: tapas served in several rounds for sharing, accompanied by a welcome drink and rounded off with a dessert. All of this takes place right in Lofer — surrounded by the mountains of the Salzburg Saalach Valley, yet with a culinary concept that quickly transports you to other parts of the world.
